Undercover Snatch Squad

An undercover snatch squad swing into action but this isn’t in Libya, it’s here in the UK. Apparently, it’s illegal to wear a fancy costume and sing a song in Soho Square when the royal family are doing something. Watch the UK police state in action ….  savour the irony …. and weep.

Shame we have to have the overplayed “I jus biun assau’id” “Wass yor naime?” “I jus bin assau’id” from some ghastly chav mockney. However Max, I get your point about over zealous police behaviour.

Though when you think about it, yesterday was a security operational nightmare. Taunting the establishment with dumb-fuck black bloc flags only deserves the answer, you get what you deserve. Shame somebody didn’t wack ‘em with a piece of two by four so they got “properly assualted”. This is not just a bunch of hippy twats, these are anarchist wankers the likes of which we have to tolerate smashing up legitimate places of business and employment every bloody Saturday.

Good points and I did think twice about posting this for the exact reasons you mention. There is a distinct air of ‘deliberate’ about it all. On the other hand, as Cap’n mentions below, if the police used a bit of common sense ….

However, it was the the ‘undercover squad’ and the relish with which they went about it all that convinced me it could so easily happen to anyone of us … who would just be exercising their right to freedom of speech.

To be honest, I could even live with things like the ‘poppy burning’ incident etc., if nobody minded me burning a koran or two but it doesn’t work like that does it.

“if nobody minded me burning a koran or two but it doesn’t work like that does it”

And there you hit the nail smack on the head.

      • Earwig says:

Loads of Koran burnings on youtube. A gang of blokes from Gateshead made a particularly hillarious attempt at it and nearly blew themselves up! No doubt they’re all on the dole, anyway. They looked the sort. What would be better would be for the Queen to do it, or that archbishop with the fucking ridiculous eyebrows (look like they’ve been knitted out of baboon pubes.)

  2. Captain Haddock says:

That little lot were well “up for it” & they got exactly the response from Plod which they’d hoped for ..

Plod would have been much better off either completely ignoring them (thus turning their wind-up back onto them) or carrying out some drug searches ..

Anyway, they deserved to be nicked for singing out of tune and being boringly repetitive, if nothing else ..

Go over to Rab’s place and watch this http://rantinrab.blogspot.com/2011/04/at-whim-of-authority.html

l found it hilarious, police are holding people under Section 60 … and behind them at about 4.30 in is … go look for yourself. :)

Swizz, I thought I was in for some fanny pics when I read ‘undercover snatch’ but twas not to be.
Let’s make one point clear, these “kids’ are lazy unwashed probably job avoiding cunts who need National Service to sort their lives out.

Having said that they do not need anonymous arrest by said ‘snatch squad’ skinhead goons reminiscent of some Dagoland or Arab shithole for the petty ‘offence’ of singing a rubbish little protest song in a quiet bank holiday Soho Square.

This reminds me of thirty years ago and my anarchist mate cousin Eddie; he wasn’t my cousin but someone elses, and his straight boyfriend Karl who was a peroxide blond Emo decades ahead of his time. They lived in various squats around Finsbury Park which was crappy even before the mullahs moved in.

Eddies thoughts on politics were hazy but if he wanted to go on a “Smash Thatcher Now! ” rally that would not stop us going for a pint the following evening which is how I heard about him being similarly “snatched”, held incommunicado and hauled before the Beak for some alleged Public Order offence.

The Mag agreed with and aquitted him with some remarks about the behaviour of the Met Police. Eddie asked if he could have his Black Flag banner on a stick (offensive weapon) back and the magistrate agreed. Obviously the Police have learned nothing or is this simply a new generation?

A question Max, @ 4:40 the reporter is told by plod that the arrestee is arrested for “having articles on him for causing criminal damage” so is there some previous to this short vid whereby plod could have prior evidence of this or do I now risk arrest for carrying a ballpoint pen with which I could quite conceivably commit criminal damage.

  5. banned says:

ps, 14 year old Constable Townsend TP 5880 (@04:21) did not look altogether happy, has he yet to be completely trained?

  6. Joe Public says:

As the Capt. says: “Plod would have been much better off ……. completely ignoring them ….”

As Maggie said in a slightly different context: “Don’t give them the oxygen of publicity.”

  7. Joe Public says:

    @ Banned:-

“…. @ 4:40 the reporter is told by plod that the arrestee is arrested for “having articles on him for causing criminal damage””. As the plod was male, he too had an article on him for causing criminal damage (rape).

  8. Okay, wtf? They may be youngsters in hoodies but they’re doing nothing wrong. Bear in mind that I’m a northerner so when I say I’m disenchanted I mean I’m really disenchanted.

Just for one weekend I tried to be nice and believe the best of everyone and what do I get – f*cking sh*t in the face again.

    • Captain Haddock says:

      I’m a Northerner too GV .. (An honest-to-god Yorkshireman) ..

Though I hardly see what that has to do with anything .. unless of course, one happens to be the gobby, little, masked Mancunian (by his accent) shown in the clip .. ;)

  9. Microdave says:

They probably should have been arrested for crimes against public health, BUT if the police will happily let a bunch of rag-heads disrupt homecoming parades and remembrance services then this lot should have the same rights. The undercover thugs aspect is particularly disturbing. One thing did strike me though – watching this and other similar clips, it’s apparent that they are now tolerating the public filming whilst these operations are going on…

  10. Earwig says:

There are far better things these noisy twats could be doing in Soho Square on a Friday afternoon. Like bashing up queers! ;)

  11. Katabasis says:

“However, it was the the ‘undercover squad’ and the relish with which they went about it all that convinced me it could so easily happen to anyone of us … who would just be exercising their right to freedom of speech.”

    ^THIS.

And anyone who wants to go immediately down the ‘they’re just anarchist wankers and were asking for it route’ should bear in mind how they might feel if the same scenes were repeated for those of us on the right who are attending the Rally Against Debt in May.

    • Captain Haddock says:

You raise a fair point Kata ..

But just think how many thousands of ordinary people, there must have been in Central London on Friday & who were neither stopped by, nor spoken to by a Copper .. and had no reason to speak to a Copper .. enjoyed their day & went home happy ..

“Okay, wtf? They may be youngsters in hoodies but they’re doing nothing wrong” ..

This lot were being quite deliberately provocative & were just obviously “gagging” for a bit of “action” .. And when they got it, weren’t men enough to handle it ..

I stand to be corrected, but if I remember rightly, its an offence to cover your face in public (as stated in the video over at Rab’s place .. Link above) .. and if memory serves me correctly, most of Central London’s Squares are subject to their own Byelaws .. many of which prohibit music, or the playing of musical instruments ..

There’s no doubt the “Snatch Squad” were over-aggressive, particularly the Officer in the purple sweat shirt & its interesting to note that his colleagues quickly shoved him to the rear .. I hope his Supervisors see this particular clip .. because that bloke is in urgent need of an Anger Management Course & is a liability to his colleagues ..

  12. Earwig says:

I think it’s bang out of order those paki coppers being allowed to lay hands on British people. What a fucking shit hole this country has become.

  13. Griff says:

The snatch squad may have been a bit overzealous. That being said, they did identify themselves upon taking their “prey”. It is also obvious in several of the shots that the officers had their badges out and visible.

  14. Unfortunate realy but as subjects with no rights only temporarily granted privileges that may be revoked at the whim of the Crown one can expect little else. The police constable represents the Crown not the subject. For those who still hang on to the myth that Englishmen have rights, remember that Cromwell did not bring democracy to England and the Crown was restored and the Commonwealth disolved.
