Remember those reassurances from the UK government that the mandatory 2011 UK Census data would be treated with the utmost security? ‘There is a lot of misinformation in the media.’ said the Office of National Statistics, at the time and ‘No one gets access to the records. Any personal information is kept secret, we don’t share it with people and we have a 200 year record for keeping the census information secure’.
So there’s no way that anyone’s personal data will be hacked then.
Oh Really? Well take a look at this ….
We have blissfully obtained records of every single citizen who gave their records to the security-illiterate UK government for the 2011 census. We’re keeping them under lock and key though… so don’t worry about your privacy (…until we finish re-formatting them for release)
Myself and the rest of my Lulz shipmates will then embark upon a trip to ThePirateBay with our beautiful records for your viewing pleasure!
Ahoy! Bwahahaha… >:]

BONUS ROUND! SENATE.GOV!
Oh, and who can forget all those threats of huge fines which awaited anyone who choose not to hand over all their personal information to some anonymous data centre or other?
I’d rather pay the fine, wouldn’t you.
It appears that I’m one of the lucky ones then. They didn’t get any data from Max Farquar.
Btw, I’ve scoured the MSM for any news about the Census hack, or for any quotes of comfort for all the sheeple, from the government and/or Office of National Statistics. Nothing. Hmmm, I guess that’ll be a classic case of ‘Keep calm and carry on’, then .
On the other hand ….
