Daily Mail Knox Fail In Full

Here’s a full screengrab of that Daily Mail ‘Amanda Knox Guilty story’.

Oops! Looks like they were a tad hasty in publishing that to their online website then.

Bwahahahahaha!

And note the picture caption (circled in the screengrab below) …. ‘media scum‘? Don’t they mean media scrum? Oh, maybe not … because look at these quotes from the article, that they claim the prosecution team made as soon as the ‘guilty’ verdict was announced:

Prosecutors were delighted with the verdict and said “Justice has been done” although they said on a “human factor it was sad two young people would be spending years in jail

Only, Amanda Knox wasn’t guilty, was she. Therefore the prosecution can’t possibly have issued those quotes. What’s that you say? The Daily Mail must have made the quotes up?

No. Surely not.

The MSM don’t just make things up …. do they ;-)

  1. All night arse-kicking from Paul Dacre for someone at the fail after this. What on earth were they thinking? Or were they punked?

  2. manwiddicombe says:

Guardian also made same mistake but with slightly less embarrassing visual remains.

    And sky news. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiFAFqUBp4c

  3. Bunni says:

What morons! Kind of like the dewey beats truman headlines out here years and years ago…they got over anxious!

They did have the MEDIA SCUM part right though ;-)

I’m very happy she was set FREE! it was that african drifter psycho guy that
did it (not obummer, btw). I feel bad for the murdered girl and her family, but
there was too much of a rush to justice. They should go after that african.

  4. Nobody will be sacked.

The Mail spokesman will be wheeled in to say:

“Lesson’s have been learnt and it will never happen again!”

    Lovely scoop Max.

  5. banned says:

Presumably they mocked up two versions so as to be the first to the web with the result but somebody pressed the wrong button.
That would imply that the ‘not guily’ story also used made up lies and stuff, any proof?

    • Max Farquar says:

My thoughts exactly but so much harder to prove, although you’re probably safe to assume they had exactly the same approach to the ‘not guilty’ story ;-)

  17. [...] Max Farquar has the full story and screenshots explaining how Pisa wrote the story that would have been published if Amanda Knox’s appeal had been rejected.  That would have been fine.  Only how could Pisa have possibly got the quotes he uses in the story from Italian prosecutors, given that Knox was successful and her conviction quashed? [...]

  18. Earwig says:

Great coup for you, Lord Farquar! It reminds me of the soap operas where they always film two versions (guilty and not guilty) at the end of a big TV trial so the papers can’t spill the beans on the verdict in advance. Looks like our wonderful press are about as in touch with reality as the writers of Eastenders and Corrie.
As an aside, though, I believe the bitch Knox was instrumental in the death of Miss Kertcher. She might not have wielded the knife herself, but I’ll wager she was cheering that African cunt on. She’s a wrong ‘un, that cow, you mark my words. Nice, respectable white girls don’t hang around with blacks and this case is a very good example of precisely why they shouldn’t.

    • neodsa says:

How come there was no mention of compensation , I have not seen any amount speculated on in news reports . Deal ?

      • Earwig says:

Knox was ordered to pay compensation to some other coon she implicated in the killing – some African bar manager also from Peruga. The Court decided she’d libeled him, since he has been subsequently exonerated.
She loves the company of coons, that Knox. Liked living dangerously, obviously. If she were my daughter no fucking way I’d support the cunt in her legal struggles half-way round the world; I’d have disowned the witch years ago – always supposing I’d brought her up right in the first place, of course, and knew damn well it was no failing on my part. Fucking BBC’s got a hell of a lot to answer for.

  22. Neil Craig says:

Since it came out online because that is instant and paper is slower this must be one of the very few instances of MSM journalists’ incessent claim that the dead tree press is more reliable than the net coming true.

  23. Alex Worsley says:

    @thirteensteps @AnnieEaves the Mail make up a #mcfc story? NEVER http://t.co/oWlOpunu

  25. [...] The people who did fail are the very news teams under pressure to report the news first. Which is why Sky and the Daily Mail reported the wrong verdict. More embarrassing for the Mail is the fact that it reported a full piece, complete with made-up quotes from the legal team, false responses from both families and claims that Knox and her ex-boyfriend Sollecito was on suicide watch, which – rightly and inevitably – went viral and despite being removed sharpish by the Mail’s team, can easily be found courtesy of many quick-thinking blogs such as Max Farquar‘s. Lets hope this is just the start.

Sorry, have to go, corry, stenders, and home n away need to be watched.

  29. banned says:

This got an airing on BBC Radio 4s The Media Show 13:30 yesterday. They only described the lies about Amanda slumping in the dock and sobbing uncontrollably, ignoring the made up ‘quotes’ .
Apparantly it was all Sky News’ fault for putting up the wrong verdict on its rolling news, for about 40 seconds.

  30. [...] Max Farquar has totally nailed one of my pet hates, Daily Mail BS artist Nick Pisa. Daily Mail ‘Amanda Knox Guilty story’ [...]

  31. orkneylad says:

Great stuff Max, this Pisa fellow has been one of my pet hates for a long while now.

The MSM is one big scam, from the papers to the AP pshop factory of lies.
