Strictly Come Dancing Results Spoiler

I don’t know how many readers of Max Farquar watch Strictly Come Dancing, I don’t, but every so often I’m in the mood to give out the results before they actually go to air on the BBC. In case you didn’t know, they record the SCD results show on the Saturday night but don’t broadcast it until Sunday. So … here is the Strictly Come Dancing results show spoiler for this week :

Anita Dobson and Audley Harrison finished in the bottom two.

Audley Harrison got the boot.

Like I care.

  1. Max, you are very naughty. I thought it might be Audley Harrison. Not that I watch it.

  3. Not as naughty as stv.tv who had a page announcing the return of Amelia Lily to the X Factor before the programme had even started. When it eventually started the public were still being asked to phone in and vote!!!!!!
The page disappeared but as one person wrote “Xfactor has been a joke, I think a bunch of people will not a have job at the end of this year, if they make it that long, OFCOM is going to be all over this!! saw this earlier and thought oh cool, then was shocked when Dermot was still asking for votes, naughty naughty!!

    • Nothing that we didn’t already suspect here, in general, but thanks for sharing that fiX Factor evidence and maybe that will now be the beginning of the end for such dross.
Incidentally, it’s a shame that the general public aren’t so vociferous when it comes to a similar kind of underhandedness that’s carried out by our government, on a daily basis. Then we might actually get somewhere.

  4. Between Strictly Come Dancing, The X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, I’m A Celebrity, Big Brother et al……. weekend television, as well as television “entertainment” on every other day of the week is complete and utter fucking shite if your IQ is any more than about 75!

  5. I’ve never actually seen the programme but I might give it a try…. sounds interesting.

“strictly” is that all whips and hand-cuff stuff?

“come dancing” is this the competition to see which couple “comes” first when they’re jigging about?

Am I suffering from a too vivid imagination?

  6. Due to the level of integrity demanded of today’s journalists “The man who has no office” has opened to door to at least 4 options :-
    1. Promotion.
    2. Writing publicity for the Scottish Government
    3. Front man for a health Charity or
    4. . Study analyst in the tobacco control department alongside Jill Pell

    • Spot on. And it wouldn’t surprise me if he/she managed to cover all 4 options over the next few years … it wouldn’t be the first time that sort of ‘career’ path has been followed, after similar circumstances, eh ;-)

  8. I’m currently not watching Strictly and I see your insider information appears correct Max.

I used to get a bit fed up with X Factor, being someone with a modicum of original talent, however, it is what it is, a contrived entertainment production line. No point being bitter ; – )
